Success is a Mind Game: How to Change Your Mindset and Achieve More Amazing Goals.

If you’ve ever searched for success, or have been in personal or professional development longer than five minutes, you’ve no doubt heard this phrase:

“Mindset is EVERYTHING.”

Did you ever stop to ask yourself why?

Why IS mindset everything?

Well, here’s another old saying, “Your attitude determines your altitude.”

And another one of my personal favorites…“Life is only 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond.”

Sound 100% cliche? YES! But the reason these phrases keep popping up is because they are also 100% true.

Success is a TOTAL mind game.

However, this is not the media’s definition of success, or your mom’s definition of success, or your neighbor’s definition of success.

Unlike most, success for all of us at Digging Deeper is about YOU. You, carving out―very clearly―what YOU want out of life. We work with women who strive for peak performance. Heck, I’m always striving for peak performance! Who doesn’t want to operate at the top of their game in a long-term, sustainable way?

Does that mean that we never have an off day?

No, of course not!

At the same time, we can still aim for that high-performing level of output. And there are certain variables that determine whether or not we get there.

It’s important to realize, you can have ALL the technical skills, degrees, and experience in the world, but if your mindset isn’t on point, this kind of success is never going to happen.

Why?

Because creating success is more than knowledge. It’s more than awareness. Life doesn’t exist inside a nice little petri dish in a science lab. It’s a freaking rollercoaster out there! There’s drama, scary drops and, and…baggage!!!

But when you look at the real success stories, these champions didn’t rise to greatness because everything was easy for them. They THRIVED in spite of the heartache.

Instead of waiting for the world to change, they changed their world.

And you can, too.

In today’s vlog, I’m here to walk you through the steps for a complete mindset overhaul. Watch now as we discuss the mental tools that will reposition you for ultimate success.

Mindset actually encompasses two different levels of the brain. The conscious and the subconscious.

Imagine you’re the captain of a shipyou know, one of those old timey, steamer ships (yes, my brain also went all Titanic)―and you’re headed for the Bahamas…or so you think. No icebergs in sight.

Now, the truth is, it doesn’t matter where the “Captain” says you are going, as much as it matters what the workers down in the engine room are doing to get you there

For instance, you can scream, “I’m going to the Bahamas,” all day until you’re blue in the face, but if you don’t have those guys down in the engine room turning the rudder, you will hit that iceberg.

(Yes, I know the Titanic wasn’t going to the Bahamas.)

The captain is your conscious brain, the one that logically sets the course for action. In contrast, way down in the engine room, in the belly of that ship, is your subconscious brain. No matter how often you tell yourself, “I want, I want, I want” with your conscious brain, unless you infiltrate this message into your subconscious, these goals are never going to happen.

This is why success is a mind game. It has to happen on both levels, the conscious and the subconscious.

Even more, it’s a lifelong, evolutionary journey. We’ll always be healing different levels of our subconscious―our childhood traumas, fears, and limiting beliefs. Ultimately, all of these take a lifetime to form what we now know as our personality and identity.

But the beautiful thing is that your personality and identity can be reprogrammed and recreated.

I’m a big believer that as long as my Creator has me living and breathing on this planet, it means I’ve got more to do and learn. I’ve reinvented myself three times so far, and I know I’m not done.

If you’re willing to let go of your fears and your comfort zone, you can release any parts of yourself that no longer serve you. In this way, you WILL become the person you want to be.

That’s real success, my friend.

Here’s my daily practice for rewiring my mindset for success. I call it a check-up from the neck-up.

Start by carving out some time. Three times a day. First thing in the morning, noon, and right before you go to bed. These will be your quick mental check-ups. They’re not your usual meditations, reading or exercise time―which
also do impact mindset. Rather, these are about diving a little deeper below decks.

1. Check yourself. Literally.

Do a quick body scan. Ask yourself, “How is my mental and emotional state right now?” Am I stressed? Happy? Angry? Rushing? Am I reacting or feeling overwhelmed? Check in with your body, your energy, your headspace and heart space.

As you’re doing this, if anything feels heavy, cloudy or the opposite of light and abundance, take a couple of moments to consciously send energy to that space.

Seriously.

Imagine your energy, where it’s connected, what it looks like―maybe it has a color or temperature―and concentrate its flow into that pain point.

Too woo-woo for you?

It may sound crazy, but by becoming aware of your body, you can change your neurochemical state. As a result, you will start to loosen up, lighten up and ease up, creating more flow for yourself. That’s why it’s important to do it three times a day. To set the stage in the morning, to keep you on track during midday chaos, and to rid yourself of any toxic energy before bedtime.

2. Do some affirmations.

It is statistically, scientifically, psychologically and metaphysically proven that speaking what you want into the Universe rearranges the world around you.

Begin by setting aside a minute or two.

Once you’re settled, do a series of affirmations you’ve been wanting to bring into your reality. Or you can say one or two quick phrases to turn around whatever energy is bringing you down today.

Most of all, keep them memorable, measurable and in the present tense.

The subconscious mind lives in the present. There is no past or future. It’s just NOW. If you say you “will do” or you “will be,” your desires will always remain in the vague future. Instead, you want to claim them for your present.

Not sure what to say? Shoot me a message over here, and I’ll send you a list of my top affirmations.

Give it a whirl. I’d love to hear your check-ups from the neck-up and affirmations that are helping you FINALLY see some fast-forward progress in your life.

Love,
Chaya
