Holistic Wellness: How to boost energy and clarity for a successful, empowered life.

What is Holistic Wellness?

Ever wish you could create more energy? A little extra power to help you step into greatness and finally, finally become that person you KNOW you were born to be?

Well, I’m happy to tell you, you totally can. And here’s your secret weapon. 

Holistic wellness.

Why is holistic wellness important to peak performance? And, most of all, how do you start? 

Join me in this week’s vlog as we discuss holistic lifestyle―what it is, why to do it, and how to get you generating more energy than you EVER could’ve imagined.

Holistic wellness is a life approach, addressing the whole person. Body, mind, and soul. It’s the reason I so often return to themes like clean eating, good sleep, mental and emotional nourishment, and exercise. 

Together, they make up who you are―your overall health and wellness. 

Think of a jet or prize racehorse. Are you going to fill your private jet full of tar and expect it to operate effectively? 

Uhhh, no. 

Same thing for your prize racehorse.

But that’s exactly what we do! Again and again and again. We stuff our bellies with over-processed garbage and try to function as sleep-deprived zombies. Then we wonder why we “never have enough energy for it all.” 


You can maybe scoot by with those choices in your 20s, but you can forget about it as you get older. This was one of the reasons behind my decision to adopt a fully plant-based diet. Since then, I’ve seen and felt a massive difference with my energy levels and overall well being. 

Food is a personal choice for everyone. There’s no one size fits all, and I’d never force my lifestyle on anyone. However, if you’re curious about the science behind plant-based eating, check out nutritionfacts.org run by Dr. Greger

There’s also an excellent book called “Sleep Smarter” by Shawn Stevenson that I highly recommend for changing your sleep habits for peak success.


But that’s just surface level, body stuff. 

What about mental, emotional, and spiritual nourishment? You know. The choices you make, which go beyond choosing a yummy, shiitake mushroom BLT over that greasy hotdog.

One of the biggest mind shifts in my life happened years ago when I heard this one phrase, “The truth is, we are all spiritual beings that have a body.” 

Or, as a very wise 900 year-old green alien once said, “Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.”

How many of us live most of our lives, seeing ourselves as a body with a soul? Not the other way around?

This is a subtle difference that makes ALL the difference. 

We must stop identifying with our bodies alone and start realizing we’re actually spiritual beings. Modern medicine and science have long since proven that our mental and emotional state is critical to health and healing. If we push ourselves to the limit, while completely neglecting our emotional, spiritual, and mental wellness, well, that gravy train is only gonna ride so far. 

Maybe you’re already running on empty. That’s okay. 

Here’s how you can get super-charged―without coasting that caffeine high.

Make sure your body, mind, and soul are all tuned to the highest possible level of optimal strength, wellness, and focus. If any one of these is missing, there’s no way you can build long-term, sustainable peak performance.

The last thing you need is to start and crash. That start-stop cycle makes your recovery phase even more costly. It taxes your time, effort, energy and emotions. Instead, your goal is to create a high level baseline, where you can be your best. All the time. 

I mean, can you even imagine feeling your best all the time???

Girlfriend, you are worth it!!! You deserve long-term and sustainable excellence, passion, and joy. 

Like anything we do at Digging Deeper, start with the end in mind. 

Begin by asking yourself, “What does optimal performance look like to me? What does optimal joy look like to me? What does optimal health look like to me?” Continue through your list of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. 

Start to sketch those out in your mind. Really envision what they look like―for you. Write down your answers. Action starts by bringing your thoughts into the physical realm. Don’t leave your answers in the vague ether, where you’ll forget about them. Have them out to remind yourself. 

You don’t have to get it perfect right away. You just have to take that first step. 

Real wellness takes work. It is a lifelong, evolutionary process. I’ve been working on it for 10 years, and I still have so much more to accomplish for my own holistic well being! Please don’t get overwhelmed. An overwhelmed mind does nothing. 

Remember, one of our core beliefs here at Digging Deeper is that being overwhelmed is a choice. 

You can either choose to be overwhelmed, or you can choose to be empowered. 

You’re not going to be able to turn it all around in just one day. Don’t be discouraged!! Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was your current state of affairs. 

But you are going to get there. 

Take a scan at where you’ve been in your life up until now. Whether it’s 25 years, 35 years, 55 years, 75 years, it doesn’t matter. You don’t want to keep going around on that same merry-go-round for 80 years and call it a “life.” 


Don’t let yourself be hypnotized by the marketing gimmicks of the mainstream. That carnival music may be enticing. It sure seems like a lot of fun. But, in the end, that merry go round takes you nowhere. It never, EVER creates what you want. 

True long-term, sustainable success doesn’t have a shortcut or a magic pill.

But I can promise you this. Every ounce of time, effort, and energy that you give to your holistic wellness is a direct investment into your future and your lifespan. Not just the quantity of your years, but the quality of your years. The amount of joy and success that you experience. 

My husband always tells me, “Chaya, people don’t want to buy what you’re selling, because you are selling hard work!!! You’re telling people they have to work on themselves. Nobody wants that! They just want the quick-fix. The magic hack.”


So I want you to prove that theory wrong! 

Help me show my husband that there are women out there, just like you and me. A whole army ready and willing to rise above the status quo. Who refuse to go through life like some mediocre version of the Walking Dead.

Women who roll up their sleeves and do the hard work―not just hard work, but smart work―invested in the right area. 

Because we know that the results are worth it.
